ABOUT Dr. Michelle Espina

Dr. Michelle Espina received her dental degree in 1997 from the University of Zulia in her native Maracaibo, Venezuela. She furthered her education and obtained her Doctorate in Dentistry in 2002 and a Master’s Degree in Microbiology in 2003. Dr. Espina later attended the University of Puerto Rico, receiving her Postdoctoral Certificate in Orthodontics and a Master’s Degree in Dental Sciences in 2009.

Dr. Espina is the recipient of the “Dr. Jaime de Jesus” excellence award, presented to the most outstanding student by the members of the Society of Specialists in Puerto Rico. She is also involved in many dental organizations, such as the American Dental Association, the American Association of Orthodontists, the Texas Dental Association, the Southwestern Society of Orthodontists, El Paso District Dental Society. She is a proud Board Certified Orthodontist.

Dr. Espina has provided quality orthodontic care to the El Paso Community since 2011. Wanting to provide her concept of orthodontic care and a state-of-the-art service facility, she opened El Paso Family Orthodontics.

Dr. Espina enjoys spending quality time with her husband Gerardo and their twin daughters Claudia and Carla. She enjoys sports activities such as spinning, is an avid book reader, and enjoys making memories with her beautiful twin daughters.
